Academic & Professional Background

I hold a PhD rooted in psychosociology, contextualised in entrepreneurship, and focused on the restoration and establishment of self-worth, particularly for those who may have never experienced it.

Over the years, I’ve picked up postgraduate credentials, and fellowships, I’ve spent decades embedded in learning and leadership. I’m also a Chartered Educational Assessor, which means curriculum integrity, rigorous assessment design, and quality assurance are not just values, they’re qualifications I live by. From curriculum design to strategic programme development, mentoring, external examining, and international collaboration in transnational education. I’ve shaped and reviewed courses across sectors and cultural contexts with both rigour and cultural sensitivity.

I’m also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and trained practitioner in behavioural science, trauma-aware coaching, and integrative leadership models. I’ve led national initiatives, developed accredited content, coached leaders, and delivered keynotes, with a consistent throughline of depth, clarity, and grounded emotional intelligence.

Founder of Inspired Progression

I don’t just create educational content. I create standards.

As the founder of Inspired Progression Ltd, the professional training and accreditation hub of Cogent Insight Ltd, I’ve developed a full integrity-based framework that raises the bar for learning and development.

Every accredited programme, including my own, is held to this framework. No vanity badges, shortcuts or cosy in-house exemptions. If it carries the Inspired Progression seal, it’s been deliberately designed, peer-reviewed, and built to stand with ethics, safety, and structural integrity at its core.

Collaborations & Course Creation

You’ll find my fingerprints on coaching tools, transformational frameworks, flagship courses, guided meditations, and self-study programmes used in ecosystems far beyond my own. Behind the scenes or from the ground up, I hold to the same principles: academic rigour, spiritual depth, behavioural insight, sharp humour, and absolutely no tolerance for fluff.

My work is intentionally global. While my current academic research is focussed on African contexts, I also collaborate live in the USA and UK, ensuring the frameworks I create are not only academically rigorous but also lived, applied, and relevant across cultures.

But Who Am I, Really?

Though I might sound British, I’m all American under the accent, dressed in dry wit, sarcasm, and a well-practised side-eye. I’ve spent years putting my voice behind other people’s missions, helping them rise. Now, I’m using it in my own work. Built from lived truth, earned insight, and the kind of lessons you don’t get from a textbook.

Everything I create is anchored in what I’ve lived. I don’t teach theory I haven’t tested. And I don’t build anything I wouldn’t use myself.

Curious why this works the way it does? Read more about the approach, here.

So if you’re looking to develop a transformational learning experience, one with structure, humour, and emotional weight, or if your organisation needs to raise the bar for spiritual or coaching-led development work…
